Accommodation

Set in a 17th-century coaching inn, the traditional charm of the hotel is entwined with modern facilities as our boutique-style rooms offer en-suite bathrooms, free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs with cable channels, and tea & coffee making facilities. The building is historic and listed, therefore, the rooms have a character reflecting the nature of the building and its history.

We offer single, double, twin, and family rooms which are superior, standard, and economy in style. Whilst the prices vary to reflect the size and style of accommodation, comfort is a given across all of our rooms!

Check-In: 2 p.m. – 10 p.m.
Check-Out: 11 a.m.

We appreciate that our guests may have varying needs, therefore, we try our best to accommodate early and late check-ins and check-outs. Please contact us, should you have unique requirements, so that we can make your experience the best possible!

Please help us to protect the environment by conserving water and energy. Our policy is to change your linen and towels after the third night, but before the fifth night of your stay.

However, if you should require any additional services, or if it becomes necessary to replace any item sooner, please let a member of staff know.

We aim to start your day out right!

We offer a continental spread which includes a range of fresh fruit, cereals, juices, yogurts, jams, and toast.

You can also upgrade to a traditional English cooked breakfast, which is cooked to order and includes:

  • Cumberland or vegetarian sausage
  • Your choice of eggs (scrambled/fried/poached)
  • Bacon
  • Grilled tomato
  • Mushrooms
  • Hashbrown
  • Baked beans
  • The continental spread

Breakfast times:

Monday to Friday – 7:30am to 10:30am
Saturday and Sunday – 8am to 11am

We understand that some of our rooms are close to the Pangbourne train-line and can therefore cause an inconvenience to some of our guests. These include economy rooms and one single room towards the rear of the hotel. Although these rooms have been reduced in price to reflect their position, they possess the same level of size and comfort as our Standard rooms.

We would recommend these rooms to heavier sleepers as they can present great value for money! If you would prefer a quieter room, please do not hesitate to send us a message or phone in advance, and we will try our best to accommodate your preferences. Additionally, you may consider booking superior or family rooms – almost all of which are towards the front of the hotel.

We appreciate that peace and quiet are important qualities of an enjoyable stay. Therefore, we are currently working on minimising these adverse qualities by providing ear plugs and upgrading the quality of our window glazing.
